The Role

Stirling Park LLP has an exciting opportunity for a qualified Sheriff Officer/Messenger-at-Arms with at least a commission for the Sheriffdom of Grampian, Highlands and Islands to join our field based team. You should be an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic individual with experience of delivering results for both Solicitor clients and Local Authorities.

Responsibilities

  • Assuming full responsibility for both the planning and execution of your daily workload
  • Prioritising urgent and time sensitive cases
  • Ensuring all internal processes, procedures and requirements are adhered to at all times
  • Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing, any problem cases and provide timely updates to Diligence Operations Manager.
  • Maintain legislative knowledge and adhere to annual CPD requirements
  • Support and encourage any Trainee Sheriff Officers under your remit.

  • Self-motivated, with excellent time management and organisation skills
  • The ability to motivate, lead and encourage staff and make decisions, by positively encouraging initiatives, innovation and ideas.

Accountability

The post-holder will report to a Diligence Operations Manager, based within our Kilmarnock head office.

  • Competitive salary with Company Car – £41,500 – £43,491 basic salary per annum
  • Working Hours – 38.5 hours per week (Monday – Friday, 8.30am-5.00pm) with some flexibility required
